Collaborative Therapy just for You
Providing personalized therapy sessions for individuals and couples in-person or from the comfort of your home.
Welcome! You might be entirely new to therapy, figuring out how to get started or perhaps you’re returning to treatment after some time away. Whatever your current situation, I’m so glad you’re taking an important first step by coming here. A bit about how I work…my therapeutic style integrates Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, somatic work, mindfulness, and Psychodynamic Theory to guide clients towards relief and opportunities for change. My approach is client-centered which supports individuals as they build upon their strengths. We explore fears, doubts, goals, and desires in a non-judgmental, comforting space where there’s absolutely room for humor and laughter. Helping clients learn about themselves, what they deserve, and what they are excited to experience in their lives brings me true satisfaction. I hold anti-racist, body acceptance, and pro-choice perspectives in my work and in my life. I’m looking forward to meeting you!
Areas of focus
LGBTQIA+: As a Queer therapist I am dedicated to helping clients explore their identities, relationships, challenges, and joys. Whether you have been out for a long time or are just starting to peel back the layers of who you are, we can parse through these feelings together. I offer therapy that is sex and kink positive.
Depression: Perhaps your feelings are connected to a recent loss or maybe you’ve been struggling with heavy emotions for a long period of time. Whatever your scenario, we will talk through your hurt and find paths towards comfort and hope.
Anxiety: Feeling overwhelmed by negative thoughts can interfere with every part of your life. Together we will identify what might be activating these thoughts and feelings to help you adopt a new perspective and in turn, new behaviors. You deserve to feel ease in your day to day life.
Life transitions: Divorce, a baby, career changes…these are all significant events that can often be extremely challenging to navigate. Being able to discuss the doubts that come with big life shifts is healing and can help you to handle these changes with more insight.
Relationships/Couples Therapy: Being in a romantic relationship is a joyful experience but can also bring about frustrating, painful, and triggering feelings. In our sessions you can share and work through your worries, concerns, and hopes either individually or as a couple in a neutral, nurturing space. I am trained in Gottman Method Couples Work.
Family issues: Talking out family stories, hurt, trauma, loss, and expectations can help you understand how you feel, behave, and think. In our sessions, we can draw connections between what happened in your family of origin and what is currently coming up for you as an adult.
“Jeni has helped me tremendously. She is very professional, yet brings a warm and comforting energy that invites you to open up to her. Instead of feeling obliged to talk, it feels like a natural conversation.”
